Back in the day, I had put "blue dot" tail light lenses on my 1948 Chevrolet. I thought they were pretty neat, but a highway patrolman didn't agree.

He was going to write me a ticket until he found out I was only 14 years old. He then told me to pull my car back into the barnyard and he said he didn't want to see me on the road for another 2 years.

See - modifying tail lights can get ya in trouble -

It's for the ALL BLACKED OUT look on black cars typically. He needs black badges next to match.



Better than plasti dipping the tail lights like I see around my area.

Well, not in the windshield, but, I did have blue lights in the grill - but, I still didn't catch any -

Well, yes, but they kept the grill shiny to distinguish the car as a Mercury and not a low level Ford.

The rims weren't painted because they wanted to show off that they were reversed and chrome plated, which was

PS - mod the engine with a high lift cam and some carbs and it was a street legal machine to be reckoned with -

I'm a bit late on this, but in preparation for a trip up to Western PA for Christmas, under impending snow, I did end up biting on a set of steelies and a set of Continental VikingContact 7s for her first winter. Didn't feel like tempting fate by keeping the Primacies on her for snowy conditions, but you can bet I'll be looking at Direzzas for the Spring/Summer. I do miss my forgies, though. :<

Ride feels a bit different too, definitely bumpier than normal, but I guess that's to be expected with dedicated snow tires.

Shouldn't be bumpier, snow tires are very soft. Are these a comparable height to your others?

Actually, turns out that I was a dum-dum. Not only was the rear right tire not torqued to spec, I was testing the tire pressure at an Advance Auto near home, and somehow the front right tire was at 12psi. Suspecting a leak, but after pumping to spec, it seems to be riding quite a bit better now. Rookie mistake, I just don't know how it took me so long to notice. Very weird.
