A header does "make power" when sized properly. With proper sizing the inertia from the high velocity exhaust gas will help with something I believe is called scavenging. If too small the pressure loss through it will be too high, and if too large the exhaust gas velocity will be too low.
I believe this is where that backpressure myth comes from.

Not true.

Cars with no headers make a lot less power than cars with headers.

Is this a 60mm or 70mm system?

Also while i think the claims are insane the company is right, there is nothing to be gained from lying. This is 2012 ,when that exhaust and header setup starts hitting consumers hands itll be dynoed half a million times by others. Give it a few weeks and we will see alot of runs.

waiting for more proof before I say anything else

just hard to believe a 2.0 NA making 40whp and 20wtq on just a exhaust and header. the tq is what i really find hard to believe

but if this is true I'm exciting for the future of this engine

It's like a month goes by and everyone forgets that Japan had a cutback alone net 30HP for the car. It's 3k Titanium cat-back, but they claimed 30HP to the wheels and they have better gas. Imagine if they did a header back like Vivid, they'd likely be seeing closer to 40-50HP easily.

I can't get this exhaust since it's hella not CA legal, but am looking forward to some customer reviews on different dynos to see what their results are.

Good job on this type of increase Vivid/Agency Power. 5th time's the charm amirite?

As pointed out by another member, I'm sure that some of this gain is coming from the car breaking in compared to when it was first dynoed fresh off the lot.

I talked to Mike @ Vivid and he says this is not the case. The car was dyno'd with the same mileage.

In the end too many of you are focusing on the "from x to y" and not focusing on the "y" which is the final number, and the one that matters if you want more power.

If that's the case...wow, I would love to see that this is easily replicable...it just seems hard to swallow. These are the types of gains you see from turbo fours, not N/A four-bangers.

I WANT the gains to be this good, I just hope that a cat (a must for me) won't affect the numbers too much.
