Talking to a lot of my contractor buddies, they prefer Milwaukee. Mostly because the batteries are really good. I like the tool range of Milwaukee so that is what I use personally.

Well, you are quite welcome to come down here to Puyallup and spend Friday evening with us. Friday night is when we keep the three granddaughters till about 11PM. Yep, the menu is usually frozen pizza and apple juice and the entertainment is watching "Frozen".

It is more powerful then the small handheld Stihl that they were using to blow off roofs/decking during jobs. For real heavy work you can't beat a backpack blower though. I used it on a couple roofing jobs I helped them on and was pretty surprised how good it was. I wasn't expecting much.

i have that one. i usually just use it to clear the sidewalks after mowing. i also have the weed trimmer. they both work as i need.

but i have milwaukee because i use milwaukee for work, so i already had the batteries, which made it harder to justify any other brand.

of the few that i have met that use ryobi tools, i've never heard a complaint. they're all quite happy with them. i've recommended them to a few people. but the fisher-price looks have been hard for most people to overcome.

anything lithium is great at this point. the main complaint with most tool brands of the past were the nimh batteries. i bought into milwaukee specifically because of the tool range. i can do a ton of different things with the 2 batteries!

When I replaced all my nimh battery tools, I went with Ridgid because, if registered for home use, the batteries have a lifetime warranty. Hard to beat that. I have the drill, impact driver, circular saw, belt sander, reciprocating saw, a couple of lights and a hand sander. I've used every one of them with no issues. Batteries are still strong after 4 years of regular weekend warrior use.

I suggest you get that set up, just in case you have a snowfall like in January of 2017.

Why? Because shoveling snow is a major cause of heart attacks for retired men. Plus, it would give you something to do during snow days. Plus, you could plow off some of your neighbors driveways - maybe meet a lonely housewife -
