You'll only need widebody for larger than 295 Hoosier A7s from my experience. If you're running that much tire, you better have enough power to justify it in my opinion. If you're going to cut the body, you'll need to reinforce the rear and that is going to add $$$.
I think 275 is a good size when coupled with proper aero, unless you want to try to win nationals. If that is the case, be prepared to $pend Money, lots of it.
