Sooo.. review time!

I've mentioned this many times before, but holy shit.. I'm not disappointed at all with this car! I've had it for a few weeks now.. Originally picked up at 22km and now at around 2100km atm So much fun to drive!

The handling is just unreal. I had the pleasure of going through a long and easy 60km S-ish bend at 140km+ (on a private road of course.. haha). I'm still getting used to the handling but as I get more confident I push it a bit harder each time to see where its limits are. Also, I've never felt safer in a car when driving in the rain. Brakes work really well and it sticks to the road much better than any other car I've driven. Top speed I've gotten up to is 175kmph on the straight.. didn't want to push it any further just yet.

The headunit works well most of the time, I've got an issue at times with the bluetooth connection being retarded. It connects but the volume is way too low.. I have to try my luck by disconnecting my phone and reconnecting.. if that doesn't work then i have to turn the car off and on again for it to work. So stupid! The speakers are bearable.. but I'm definitely changing them out soon along with a small sub in the back.

The paint wasn't that great surprisingly.. When I was getting it opticoated by @Frank @ BrightShine, we were both equally shocked by all the marks on the car. No big swirls that I saw but a whole bunch of marks all around the car. Because of that, Frank had to do a lot of hard work in prepping before the opticoat.. but it's all fixed now and looks absolutely AMAZING. Couldn't be happier! Seriously, Sydney people.. I 100% recommend giving Frank a call. He's got amazing attention to detail and I can guarantee that you'll be over the moon with the results!

If you guys have any questions feel free to ask me, I'll be more than happy to answer

Ps. Expect more photos soon!

Thanks for the review mate! Sounds like your having a blast with the car.

Just wondering how you like the AT? BTW are you coming from a manual?

Thanks for your update.

i too like the stock brake. and i think the headunit isn't that bad. but i hate the fact you can't turn it completely off unless you turn off the car.

speakers are not too bad either after playing around with the EQ so my budget will go to handling mods first....

so...when picking up the car, either way the car is going to be washed by the dealership right? so therefore there might be swirls if dealership does rough job on the washing. But it's no biggy, Frank@BrightShines can get ride of the swirls easily, right?

I love the AT, I drive a lot in peak hour traffic so it makes it pretty painless for me. I used to drive manual a few years ago.. but then stuck to auto ever since. I miss it, but I definitely don't regret getting auto

The stick shift is fantastic in the AT.. paddle shift is fun but the novelty wears off after a while. Stick feels much better (even though the up and down is reversed.. I play too much initial d :P)

Stick shift.

Push forward to up gear.
Pull back from downshift.

should ? Be the other way around. Well most cars are the other way around.

My aurion is like that, kinda annoying. I just stick it in drive and worry about the balance between wheel spin and traction control kicking while hitting the rev limiter. 200kw is too much power for FWD.

The paddles are (-) (+)

I think he means the stick shift is:
+
-

Which is the reverse of initial D. =)

I agree that
-
+

Feels better.

OH HELL NO!! That sucks...My parent's Beamer is

-
+

That is so confusing...because in video games its pull = upshift and push = downshift.

The paddles are neat.

I like the full sequential box in the mr2 spyder. Downshift buttons on the front on both sides and up shift buttons on the back. Really easy to drive 1 handed.
