This is another good point. Driving style and desired characteristics are another thing you need to look at and work out. Understeer/oversteer/turn in/stability, are all effected and can be dialed in or out. Just because a setting works well and feels good or fun for one driver doesn't mean that another driver likes it. Have you started playing with your dampening settings yet? A acceptable set up for your driving style starts at the road surface all the way to the nut at the end of the steering wheel.

there is detailed alignment details there. for street driving you really don't want more than -2 camber all around. the rear you don't want anything more than 2 as its double wishbone and will compress/add camber as suspension loads up. for track, you want a bit more than -2 up front though. on street in first post i ran -2.2 in front and -1.8 in rear with toe in rear and slight toe out front. you do not want to have zero toe. you want the rear to be slightly toed in for better stability. you can toe out the front if you would like better turn initial turn in. As far as LCA's there aren't necessary, but once you lower the rear, it begins to camber in. theres no way to adjust it factory so you may have uneven camber and too much of it. just get SPC control arms, they are not expensive and they work great. give you +/- 2 degrees of adjustability which is all you need to get in spec. and i saw discussion regarding running a 285 on a 9.5...actual grip will not be gained simply by going to a bigger size (once you're already at a 9 inch plus wide tire) |

Alright guys. I have full coilovers, and camber bolts and camber plates for the front.
Just picked up Avid AV20 18x9.5 +38 wheels and 275/40/18 Michelins. Who wants to place bets if I can or can't fit these!? |

24.6" is OEM diameter. A 275/40/18 is 26.7" diameter. 275/35/18s are huge at 25.6" diameter! I'm not saying that you can't, but IMO, you shouldn't. Good luck.

Whats the big deal with the difference in diameter? I downgraded to 245/40/18 in the front, but you know those low profile tires are more expensive that's why I got 40 series

The diameter difference will change the accuracy of the speedometer and the odometer, can cause rubbing, and IMO adds unnecessary weight. The largest diameter tire I would suggest is a 265/35/18. It is 2.8% larger than OEM. If you need a wider tire, a 285/30/18 is actually only 0.4% larger diameter than stock, 24.7" vs 24.6", and fits on the car easier than a 275/35/18. A 275/40/18 is 8.5% larger in diameter than OEM and is 1.1" taller than your 245/40/18s! I would sell the 275/40 tires and get smaller diameter ones. Also, the profile of a tire changes with its size. A 215/45/17 and a 275/35/18 both have the same exact tire profile height of 3.8". https://tiresize.com/calculator/ Play around with this tool. It helps see what tires will fit best. Cheers!
