Over the weekend I picked up a roll of gap seal tape from a korean store for $2 and went ham on all the creaky and buzzy spots in the interior. It's like a different car now, completely free of all the interior noises. And it only took about 10 minutes

Removed the track pads and rotors and put the stock parts back on. Silence, ahhhhh!

Also changes the oil and went back to 0W-20 for the cooler months.

hey guys, im looking for some advice, my exhaust currently has no res or muffler, basically a straight pipe after the cats. i LOVE the way it sounds, yes its a bit loud but thats not really an issue for me HOWEVER, ive lost all of my already hard to come by torque I think its because of the backpressure/scavenging effect. Is there any muffler/resonator that wont change the sound but will give me back something on the low end, or would it be better to put the stock muffler back and run a cutout? just looking for options as there arent many used catbacks for sale around me and I dont have 800 for a new system

Mufflers and cats don't create scavenging. I'm assuming you have a tune for full exhaust, so without further details I'd say your exhaust diameter is too large or something else is wrong. Or your seat Dyno is no longer calibrated properly

I see you have a 17 86 as well, i have always since new from factory had this metallic buzzing sound that seems to be coming somewhere from the steering column and only hear it cruising on the freeway at around 2600rpm, what are all the spots you had buzzing and put this to fix it?

No buzzing from the steering column, but I had creaking from the driver seat belt attachment, which I pinpointed to the cable that's there, so I basically put some padding around the cable. Then bottom of A pillar windows and along the A pillar and windshield, under the plastic transmission tunnel cover where it comes into contact with the dash, and some at the bottom outside corners of the windshield as well, where the speakers are.

Another 1000km trip under my belt, except I spaced it out over two days this time.
Gave the car a much deserved exterior and interior detail when I got home. She's ready for a big 86 cruise happening tomorrow.
Hoping to get lots of photos!

New tires, oil change and washed the inside of the rims. Went from 225 to 245's

Attended our local 86 meet over the weekend.

21 cars showed up. Most of which made it for the photo opp at the end of the day.
