So true. I started out at 4 bucks an hour as a machinist in 1982 and finished my career at over 8× that. Took 20 years to get there though

I'm back. Nice trip. It was good seeing our middle son.

It was strange and exciting drive. I have been going to Eagle Lake since I was a kid, and we have owned our place up there for about 17 years. The drive there from idaho, vs from the bay area is longer, but so much easier, no traffic, and way less stressful, and no straight up and down passes. It was a first time drive to a place we have been hundreds of times.

And yes @humfrz, snowed on us a couple nights, but nothing stuck.

Well, I started out full time work in middle management, making $.50 per hour (24/7), working for one of the largest organizations in the world, the US Army.

The chow hall was great, they even served me and it was FREE.

Now that I have been promoted to pa-pa, I don't make nutten and work from 0600 to 1700 (on and off) 5 days a week and some weekends.

See what some of you may have to look forward to -

"That" can be used as an adverb, determiner, conjunction or pronoun.
