I figure it is better than the $400/ month for a 70/30 plan with Delta Dental.

My wife went last week. She said everything in the office is state of the art, then you look out the window and there are cows grazing.

Oh well, mine didn't start out like a Penthouse letter.
For years I'd been going to the same dentist as my parents, but he's located in SF, which is too inconvenient for me. So I went to this place, same story aside from the grazing cows part. Very high tech, they even use these pen-shaped cameras to give you close-up photos of any issues, which they used the first time I went. They also have screens with netflix or music playing attached to each seat. Also the quickest process of any dentist when it comes to getting xrays. It's super expensive, but fortunately work has some really good insurance. I've seen some full cost sheets and it's worked out well on my end.

Haha, I actually wasn't picturing it that way at first other than knowing it'd get a laugh considering how sexual it could've been taken (that was her wording, not mine!).

Reminds me of the story of when we had an F/A 18 E take off from the runway next to my college dorm (ok, well 1/4mile away)?

We had an alumni pilot fly in to our (quite small) airport for some recruiting thing once and of course the Navy wanted to show off so he got to arrive in his super hornet. So he does a few flyby's, lands and goes and does his thing. Really cool since I hadn't seen one in person yet at the time. But leaving was interesting because we don't have a particularly long runway. The procedure: load as little fuel as possible, line up on the runway, hit the afterburner to take off and and pop over to the international airport next door.

So if anyone isn't aware, the F18E is loud AF just idling. But the sound of the afterburner lighting up was out of this world. I was also lucky enough to have a view of the other end of the runway, where two little jets of fire shot straight up in the clear night sky.

Anyway, was a great experience. I like airplanes though, and I suppose it would get old if it happened every day. I never really got tired of hearing more normal planes coming and going.

It's really creepy when you look up to see a B2 at what must have been 2000ft agl and don't hear a thing...

The F-35 was almost silent. Some small airliners make more noise.

Ya the B-52 and C-5 were no more than 3,000 or 4,000 feet. I am only a couple of miles from the airport so they were still climbing. Heard them coming well before I could see them over the house though. The F-15s I saw before I heard and they headed pretty much straight up and were gone. The F-35 just sort of appeared and was gone without causing much of a ruckus at all.. The A-10 trailed along behind everybody sort of like "Hey guys wait for me".

I will not try to repair it (or should I?).. This is a everyday use car, and things happen. I wish nothing worse happen..
You might try tapping out the dent from the underside and try buffing out the line. Then wait 2 weeks and see if it still bothers you.

Wild dog packs! Maybe you should carry a bag of dog treats in your car and throw a handful out the window the next time you get attacked -

I tried to google good recipes for eating dog. I found out that it is still legal to consume dog in 43 states, and for the most part they are cooked like a tougher deer.

Reminds me one time I was in Korea and wanted to get drunk off the local rice wine we stopped at a Korean BBQ joint but this was a back alley way sort of restaurant. The type you dont get instagram photos of, but it wasnt dirty, nor Russian ran so We thought it was as good as place as any, They where not prepared for Americans and between being drunk and hungry we fingered out what food we wanted and Im pretty sure the cheapest meat they had was dog.
That was a fun evening, but later that night I went back to the hotel to finish out some cigars. Korea is amazing, it really awakens up at lik e9 pm and carried to the early morning. A friend of mine had peeled off to explore some more and found an indoor Karaoke and golf arena. But blacked out and somehow woke up next to a homeless woman..
Our buddy Tanner found him the next morning As I checked us in with work, and apparently dude was so hung over drunk he paid this homeless woman something like 100 bucks USD to make him good. and she shared what she had.

... So yeah

What were we talking about?

They want me in for a laser gum tissue removal thing, because apparently when they did a deep cleaning earlier this year it caused some gum tissue to die and it's not coming off by itself as well, given the time since that procedure.

I'm sort of okay with it but at the same time when they had me do the deep cleaning they basically forced it on me when my previous dentist never had to do more than the usual annual cleaning. They never said I might need to come in for a laser removal if the tissue didn't do its thing on its own. :|
All the years I had dental insurance, I had all kinds of stuff like that done. Then they said "my teeth and gums looked fine".

Now that I don't have any dental insurance (medicare doesn't give a shit about seniors teeth), I just get my teeth cleaned twice a year (the economy cleaning) and have something else done ONLY if a tooth starts hurting. They now say that "my teeth and gums look fine".

Go figure that -

Well, now, Clutch Dog, THAT was quite a story -

I would suggest that you and your buddies refrain from eating dog or drinking rice wine -

Not to worry - they will break the sound barrier before they lift off from the airport runway, so the sound wave will be loud but short.
