Exactly, could. That is the key word. This car isn't in production. A lot can change in the meantime. On another note, I would prefer to get this as a Toyota however my wife gets Subaru cars at invoice with VIP pricing which would save ~$1500-2000 off of MSRP. No need to haggle and it is automatic. We shall see. |

@OldSkoolToys, Nice!!!! I agree, but ultimately in the end it will come down to the factory specs and looks.

+1.
Never mind that where they to come into existence, these would be 3 fundamentally different cars, for 3 different markets (Toy and subbie considered as one). Look for rumors of a Lexus version popping up in next weeks motortrend front page citing a reliable source from FT-86 forum.... |

Putting lexus in here is pretty...unrealistic.
The lexus version is going to be premium, full luxury Lexus class interior with all the high end gadgetry and features. Then there's the thing under the hood. It's a lexus so itll have a AT MINIMUM a V6, probably F-Tuned engine. The price ranges are too big of a diff, i see a lexus version starting at 40 or 50 considering the IS would be directly hitting it..but then again this is a coupe so it could start in the 30's |

All those choices?
I'd take the Toyota. I get the feeling it'll be a Scion though Stateside, but whatever |

I voted for Subaru. It's the brand image I feel would best represent my core automotive beliefs. This is all assuming the car is identical and only the badge changes.
In the real world, however, I feel that a Lexus branding would result in a superior dealership experience, from sales to service. The other brands [especially Subaru] have a far distance to go to improve service satisfaction.

hmm... a Lexus version would be like a Sedan IS? right....that has me interested. I'm a huge fan of sports sedans and since a Hatch version might not be offered a Sedan might be a good alternative. I'm not voting till I see more official stuff from Lexus and Subaru. But in terms of Finances I would have to go with Scion since the price will be fixed and I got a feeling it would be more affordable if it wasn't a Toyota badge. Then again...not exactly thrilled about owning Scion anything.

I personally would really like to have this car as a Toyota. Nothing else.
