I met Roy Clark a couple of times when I was a little kid (5 0r 6). He would stop by my grandparents house whenever he was nearby on tour in the mid 60s. Apparently he toured with some rockability band in the very early 60's and my grandfather's band opened for them in Canada. I remember being very excited when I saw him on Hee Haw a couple of years later. His real life personality was pretty much the same as on the show.

Very cool. I would have loved to have met him in person. He was probably one of the best stringed instrument player no one ever thinks about when thinking of players.

I've been stuck on Ripe for a few weeks now. I tend to get pretty bored with music very quickly, but I keep coming back their playlist. Right now I've branched off to a band called Melt with a similar vibe. Anything with brass and a little funky is definitely my jam.

I've watched some Roy Clark's performances. He is amazing.

There is no single similarity, but I don't know why, he reminded me this guy. I met him when I was a child. He was a very cool person. This song is not his but one of his admirers whom I admire a lot. Song is not his style but he song it in his style, alright. Many things could be said about this great man, but not enough. And I'm not that capable.
