Of course they work fine as-is. I was just sharing my cool mod. Trunk latches when dropped from only a few inches. Works like butta.

I said, no, I'll just ride it down on this 2x4. He stood back, I rode it down. He said if I could ride it back up, he would pass me. I did and he passed me.

Ooo, what kind of trials bike? Montesa? Bultaco? All the good ones were Spanish. My best friend growing up had a Bultaco Frontera 360. Not a trials bike but...

A modified Honda CT 90. I rode it like a trials bike, so, that's what I called it. You saw the top of it down in my basement, buried under much stuff -

I rode with a friend that had one of these. I could go almost everywhere he could - just not as high or fast -

I'm sure that I've posted a picture of my first real motorcycle. Rode the piss out of it. Broke it and fixed it many many many times.

Then I got an RM400

Garage
Years ago when moving to Oregon They relicensed my two bikes no problem but said I had to pass the test to get mine. So, off to the test station with my 1962 Honda 50 dual sport. I thought it a better choice than my 1979 500 Honda one cylinder endure with a plate given to me in Kentucky by the state police when I was doing search and rescue in the mountains. All went well until I was told to accelerate to 50 MPH, top speed was 45. I wound her up let out the clutch took off banged second and ran out of room. Guy was laughing so hard he could hardly get out "you pass".
Still have both along with several others including early 60s British.
