So exactly what problems does/could it cause that warrants it's death? I would pay money to have a badger wandering around my yard. It could keep the possums, skunks, raccoons, herons and other creatures in my yard company.

I guess they cause a lot of damage and are dangerous to pets/livestock. Even fish and game said to kill it. Turns out we have the largest population of badgers in the world. Everyone's immediate reaction when we tell them is "You gotta kill it".

Personally, I just want it to go somewhere else.

Also saw a groundhog, or a rockchuck. Not sure. Sure looked like a groundhog.

Evidently we live in wine country. There are about a dozen wineries within a few miles of us. We are going to go picnic at one on Chicken Dinner road for lunch. They sell "Chicken Dinner Red", and a few other varieties. Should be fun.
