No updates yet no idea when delivery will be, my order number was up in the 600's, but the dealer tells me not to worry about that since i was in the Pre-Order, he tells me that i will go up to the top of the queue...

I think mine is like 390 and Mike DeSilva had something like 160.

It probably also depends on things like what colour you picked and what options were chosen.

Oh well - I hope for some kind of info this week.

Update from BRZ Coordinator (called them):

- They hope to release delivery estimates by Friday/Monday.
- Order number is not indicative of the place in the queue
- They are getting killed with the number of people callling up to enquire about their orders

I wonder how pople ordered the WR Blue (Like I did) just because its an exclusive colour.

I think I might be in for a lenghty wait - I hear white, gray and black cars had best delivery times

I don't know. I don't believe the dealer was able to do a pre order, although they tried to convince me otherwise. I am pretty sure the dealer just put the online order through for me. Until I get some concrete info, nothing is certain.

I am pretty firmly committed to it now, as long as the car comes in the batch of the first 200 vehicles to get delivered.

If not a got a backup GT order ;P

PS: I get free mats for my troubles

Interesting..

My dealer took my money and it went to Subi HQ, then they told me to do the order online and put in the notes that i had put a deposit down as pre-order etc, then i sent them a screen shot of the order number.
they sent that to Subi HQ and they did the rest.
If i dont get one of the first 200, ill be rather pi$$ed... since they said there were only 28 pre-sales.

I was also a pre-order, my dealer did the online thing for his 3 customers.
Said he was online till after 3pm.

The official communicae from Subaru which the dealers recieved on Friday, 13th (as far as I know, its also mentioned in the thread) was that after midday Friday, no more pre-orderes could be accepted.

My understanding is that dealers took pre-orders after that date with the intention of putting them through the website on behalf of the customer once the online ordering has opened. Wheather they have any weight in being placed by the dealerships and if that can speed things up, I don't know - I hope they just had better/earlier access to the website and got in before everyone else.

It would still largely depend on what exactly you ordered as ultimately if the spec/colour you ordered is not availalbe, they still need to build the car.
