As Santa once said, "Merry Christmas to all and all a good night." The elves need a rest.

You need to qualify this or it's just your opinion.
I'm very interested but can't find anything to back up what you say.
It was definitely an 8 speed auto modified to 6 because that was mentioned many times in the lead up to release and the link I posted confirmed that. Was the IS ever an 8 speed auto?

It is confusing and also very important so I would appreciate a bit of research on your part?

About 300Nm would seem to be the design limit for the manual.
The heritige and likely limit of the auto is also vital with turbos being trialled.

wow - I've been tuning this car for over 12hrs !!!!

Took me a while to understand how the fuel system works - but was well worth the time spent.

EcuTek is going to have a lot of data to review tomorrow.

Can't wait to turn the boost up on this bad boy - this will have to wait for some of EcuTek's new RaceRom features.

OK - Going for a test ride

I'm on my iPad in bed. I'm not searching much for you right now but here is some info: http://kaizenfactor.wordpress.com/20...e-know-so-far/

Also logically modifying an 8 speed trans at great cost for the lower selling version of a niche car makes absolutely no sense when you have a trans that would work fine just sitting around.

Also a Toyota/scion corporate employee thanked my post instead of correcting it, I wonder why?

I would bet this transmission will handle 320ftlb before reliability becomes an issue. But hey, its just a guess.

Dyno Graph Comparison.
Bone Stock Baseline vs 4 Psi Turbo Kit (Under development)

Was just out cruising around its a very noticeable difference part throttle. Haven't gotten on it hard yet. Its 2am and I'm tired. Not trying to get pulled over.

Did the turbo or the tune eliminate the torque valley? I like how much flatter the line is. A lot.

That's the link I posted yesterday on this thread which mentions both auto transmissions but still has no hard facts as which one actually got used.
It's not a popularity contest, I just want to know about the car.

I'll let you get back to sleep.
