I think Merc's low rake/long wheelbase setup plays nicer with the 2019 tire. Understanding the tire and getting it in the window seems to be the theme this season.

Ferrari dead before the race even starts.

Could be a really fun race to watch though, will be the first time in awhile where it is Red Bull against Mercedes with all 4 drivers.

Just finished watching my recording of the race... What in the flying F*** did I just watch? I mean that in a good way, but seriously wtf!?!

Also, stewards are dumb AF again. How in the hell do you just fine Ferrari for almost causing a pit lane crash, then give Hamilton a penalty for taking his broken car in to be fixed? Pick one and be consistent.

That was fun to watch, though I agree with the point about once again inconsistency with the penalties. Pit road safety should be the biggest concern, those mechanics are completely exposed.
I think Hamilton made the right call, if he goes all the way around the track the only thing he is going to do is drop debris everywhere.

So predictions on Bottas next year? As long as he has a decent race in Hungary I'm gonna say another 1-year contract at Merc.

Stays with Merc even if he drops off. It's not like they have any other options. Ocon is not THAT good. Russel has such a crap car it's hard to judge his abilities.

Yea I agree. I feel like they're fine with a solid #2 driver that doesn't cause the team internal conflict every other race. As long as he can bring it home in P2 he should be okay.

Great race, one of the best in awhile even though it was only between 2 cars. Hamilton and Verstappen both ran an amazing race and outclassed the entire field.

With what Max has shown in the past few races, Bottas better wake up. That #2 spot has dwindled quickly and my bets are on Max.

Problem: drivers promoted too soon and not given enough time to adapt

Solution: swap drivers around even faster
