what do you mean by parking sensor? Rear camera for reverse? That is the only parking aid the US gets. The US usually gets shafted when it comes to lots of that type of tech, because it increases the price a lot and people won't pay for it, while in Europe a lot of it is mandated and they have zero problem paying a lot more for tons of options even on dirt cheap econoboxes.

Oh I'm sorry, I mean the beeping sound when approaching an obstacle (activated by reverse gear). People in my country call it sensor.. I thought you call it like that too..

I preferred as option-less a driving experience as I could find, i.e. what I wanted was “a brand new 30 year old car” (as someone else once perfectly described the Twins for me in this forum), hence went for the BRZ Premium.
As an unplanned bonus, and as I suspected they’re (Premium) oddly rarer than the “more desirable” Limited. Not everyone’s choice, but right for me.

I just wanted to know if you guys in the US have parking sensor or not. No problem. I'm not that curious about it.
Nope, no parking sensors in the US.

ah cool beans. The newer ones, 2017 and later i believe have backup cameras because they are federally mandated. We don't get any cool beeping noises.

Your car will be a Euro spec version and the model name and features will not be the same as the North American ones.

Uh, besides a nicer car, you dont get a nicer car if you get a premium. Limited is a nicer car, which odd for being a nicer car.

Hey TeeKote nice to see you again. I have necro'd myself and exist once more. It is fun to see people asking about the only two options the car has. It requires a few thousand posts to explain the two options. I miss this.

Not generally anything to do with a salesperson.

I'd have to say the digital climate control look much more upscale. To each their own.

More options are desirable, but higher cost is not.

Doesn't anybody here pay for their cars?

I am just expressing my surprise that a significantly more number of people chose the options over a lower price. When looking at the used GTI market, there's a good number of each S, SE, and Autobahn trim levels.

It's a cheap car to begin with, so I'm pretty sure a good number of people pay for their cars.

The reasoning behind a lot of it is discussed in this thread.

mine was paid for by my company by paying me, which was paid by it's customers, which were paid by car dealers in some cases, which are paid by people buying cars.

so the answer is yes, and no.

Paying more money and getting a nicer car is a weird concept. That is some cis patriarch crap going on there.
