Probably diced the body up and put it in concrete. Statute of limitations is pretty long on handling it that way. Same should be done with the OPs hit and run guy.
Can't wait to hear how it all goes down when OP makes another post. Maybe it involves guns being used and/or punches thrown like in the movies and what is said would happen if he or she is confronted.

Not a matter of "bending over and taking" anything. Is a matter of honesty and decent human interaction. Preaching deceit and aggression is probably the Florida way though.
We talking about the same person who hit and ran here, right?
Also, Florida doesn't have any special rules for hit and run situations involving deceit and aggression that I'm aware of. Did somebody from Florida hurt you?
Most decent and honest humans would leave a note for the owner's car they hit.

OP isn't dealing with a decent human here obviously. When somebody destroys your property and tries to get away with it without paying for damages playing nice doesn't usually work.
If he had a dash cam it would be go up to Altima owner and say it's on film, then Altima owner either pays out of pocket or involves their insurance. By using "deceit and aggression" and saying
the nonexistent cam caught it all may be enough to get the driver to confess.
It doesn't take CSI to figure out if a dent is fresh on the Altima and taking a gamble by nicely asking them if they hit it is one way to get an answer. You could even play nicely at first and then
say you'll review the dashcam and if it's the Altima, then police are getting involved. The Altima owner doesn't know the police were already called and might just confess.

So your answer is outright lies and attack? You got some really hypocritical values going there Imp.

Posting from my phone , so I can’t clearly make out the pictures to see how bad it actually is. I was rear ended in stop and go traffic a few weeks ago. I needed a new bumper, and obviously a respray. It cost me (well, insurance) $937 and change in CAD. So, if you only need to get the paint fixed, it’ll come in at least $300 under that.

However, the car is going back to the shop and the total will likely end up at over 2k since I have some pretty large concerns about the fix they did, but that’s a story for another time.

New bumper and a nasty dent in the quarter panel.
Couple of thousand in most US States. Probably three here.

No, I changed my mind...forget the lies just attack. Like with a heavy blunt object and definitely wear concealing clothing/mask.
Also, bring a few buddies to make it go as easily as possible. And film it to upload onto Youtube! Florida style.

Meh. "Florida man" is a meme standard for a reason.

i've got the same crease in my car. but it was from me pulling out in front of someone.

beware that there's more damage underneath the rear bumper cover-- it popped back after the incident to hid the damage. i haven't gotten a quote for it yet, scared of their numbers.

Hold on. You pulled out in front of someone and got hit in the rear of your car? Well, I guess you almost made it -

OBTW, your garage is a fucking hazard - looks like a junk yard - needs to be cleaned up before someone falls on the floor and strangles themselves on some of those cords and hoses -

It looks like they already were struggling getting out from the cords and knocked over that shop vac!

Sorry to hear what happened, I’d let the police handle it. You could tell the police about the Nissan, they may question them. If it is that person and the police question them and they deny it, they’ve lied to the police which is a crime. They may admit it if they’re guilty, it definitely puts pressure on them having a cop turn up etc. If it isn’t them or the police don’t think it’s worth questioning them at least you’ve tried.

It is the mess that resulted from the brawl after Sound said he had dash cam footage of the other guy deliberately speeding up to hit him.
