Speaking of chickens, my neighbor has chickens, with 2 roosters. Sometimes those two won't shut up. I named them Hank and Henry. Country living.

I had a tree guy out yesterday. The previous owner neglected the yard, so some trees can't be saved. Bummer. Still waiting to see his bid.

Got plates for the Lotus, and two year tags. Taking the twin today.

So, I just learned an interesting fact last night. You said you have a pump, but it isn't a fountain, right? Maybe the fish ran out of air and drowned. Water doesn't just contain air, it kinda pulls it in out of the atmosphere. But the transfer isn't perfect, so too many fish (or too much algae) will use up all the available air before enough transfer happens. That's why we put bubblers in our fish tanks, to oxygenate the water. Turn your pump into a fountain and they should be safe.

The pump agitates the surface enough to oxygenate the water. Even a slight breeze across the surface is enough. The fish I had (koi and goldfish) are members of the carp family and they require far less oxygen in the water that most tropical fish. They will even swim to the surface and "gulp" air ever now and then. I suspect that the problem that year was as simple as multiple and rapid temperature changes that the fish just could not deal with.

Built a cabinet door. Went with the weight savings/Free knob, "never catch on your shirt" type option. lol
