So the thing I remember about living in CT is the sand they mixed with the salt on the road destroyed the paint in the winter, do they still do that?

They've switched from using a salt/sand mix to almost exclusively salt/calcium chloride mix.

I've never had a problem. Just gotta make sure you rinse your car off every so often throughout the winter.

Actually, last winter saw so little snow it was kind of scary. I shoveled once not counting the absurd storm in October that left half the state without power for a week.

I'll be coating my car with some Collinite 845 winter wax, that's for sure.
