0. Find a 1L bottle and a friend/helper 1. Change inline filter 2. remove top hose from fluid reservoir and insert into bottle 3. Remove reservoir cap and insert funnel (my oil came with a cardboard funnel that was sized exactly right) 4. Have person turn car on and rev to 2-3k rpm 5. Let 1L of oil run out while constantly refilling reservoir with new oil (I had one hand holding the bottle with old fluid and the other hand pouring a continuous stream of new oil in) 6. Car off, hose connected back to reservoir, cap on 7. Turn car back on and check fluid level at 2-3k rpm per rotrex manual 8. Realize it was actually really easy and you shouldn't stress so much about things but that year off your life is already gone so have a beer |

how to clean jackson racing c30 air filter
whats everyones favorite method? besides just replacing it. new ones are 45$ i dont see why you wouldn't get a new one every spring, despite the manufactures specs to change every 2 yrs or 50k mi. i err on the side of not being a cheap lazy bugger.

awesome, one more wear item (oil filter) to replace to keep it sucking strong and healthy, my question remains however. favorite method for cleaning the air filter? i think its cotton? so im hesitant to blast the hell out of it w an air fitting and rip the cotton. anyone get a special "sock" to put over it to keep it clean too?

I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death, but is the ACE header worth the additional cost? I know its all about the curve, but how much more whp/tq can I expect for just adding the header on top of the supercharger?

How to change Rotrex oil filter
i just got my supercharger maintenance care package from CSG in the mail!
jrsc 3in air filter jrsc magnetic oil filter cabin air filter ecolite 0w20 engine oil jdm subie engine oil filter and crush washer(amazon) (traction fluid was changed two months ago along with new pullies and serp belt) this'll be my first time doing the filter change on the c30 so i wanted to come correct. i found this for how to change the oil filter because i actually search things before posting questions that are probably already answered: https://rotrex.com/wp-content/upload...aflet-V5.5.pdf PAGE 11 "To avoid traction oil spilling into the engine compartment, use a hose clamp pliers to clamp the oil hose as close to the oil filter as possible on the oil canister side (filter inlet) Slide away the two hose clamps on the oil filter and remove the oil filter Mount the new oil filter. Make sure to mount the filter in the correct direction according to the arrows on the filter indicating the correct oil flow direction. Slide the two oil hose clamps back to the correct position Remove the hose clamp pliers" my initial question was if its literally as simply as taking the old one off, and putting the new one on. i was wondering if you had to put some traction fluid in the new filter before hooking it up, "priming it" etc. but i guess its litarally as simply as it sounds. MAINTAIN YOUR SNAILS FRIENDS! any tips and tricks to share? |

Did anybody replace one or both of the cats after using with supercharger? I am wondering if the cats wear out earlier than stock engine.
Edit: I ordered a 2019 stock header (2017+ design), new oxygen sensors, and a dual resonator HKS front pipe. I will install and try with CARB tune first. Any problems, I will switch to Delicious tune with a new MAP sensor upgrade. I will post here how it goes. Last edited by mrg666; 06-30-2019 at 07:45 PM. |
