Unhappy A/C makes RPMS drop and compressor shuts off

[URL="https://youtu.be/McL8R0XWi5U"]If the car is a neutral the compressor will come on and off and it will continuously do that as long as the car stays neutral also the RPMs dip and the car wants to stall I got the expansion valve changed but it was no help anyone know what this issue could be? Another thing is while this is happing the AC air comes out hot and I live in Vegas so the inside of the car gets hot extremely fast.

There's a TSB for idle RPM dip. If you take it to the dealer with a printout of the TSB (they're on the forums here, just search), it might get rid of this for you. I think it was on the earlier model years though, do if you have a 2015 and up, it might not apply.

A tsb is "diagnostic help", not a recall or warranty extension. They'll fix it if you pay them to fix it.

Don't sweat the idle dip. Something is still wrong with the AC system. The compressor shouldn't be cycling so quickly.

Well, if the ac is blowing hot air it means it out of cooling juice. There could be a leak somewhere.

I would take it to any ac shop. It's way less than what a dealership will cost.

As for the rpm dip, that's kind of normal for '13-14' cars. Mine does that too and it's been that way since I bought it. Zero problems though. But like others said there is a tbs on it.

I also think this is pretty normal on our cars. Like somebody else stated, there was a TSB for earlier cars and was already applied in my unit.

Some advice, make sure that throttle body is clean to avoid making it worse.

You might need a new A/C relay. Saying this because I have an ES330 that exhibited behavior, A/C would run but the light would start blinking and it would shut off when idle, a problem with the magnetic clutch relay, not sure if applicable on these cars so asking around. And switching out the relay ($50) fixed it.

Re-check the fuses, should be a 50A fuse if what I'm reading from other threads: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101733

You can swap the horn relay to see whether it's not holding, easy thing to test in a couple of mins. Tendency is for them to stick so it works intermittently, that's what's happened to a few others and mine. I think you can rule out a fuse as that would cause it to stop running altogether. It certainly shouldn't be cycling that quickly, so it may be gas pressure.

Relays are in the fuse box under the bonnet.

I figured out my car has no cabin air filter in it so I'm going to buy it doubt it will do anything but just to be safe, the thing is the A/C works when the car is driving its cold but when I stop it gets hot and start to cycle the compressor non stop. sometimes it works fine when the car is warming up but after a little drive it starts to do it.

Like suggested, I'd still have the A/C serviced.

The AC evaporator is downstream. The fast cycling of the compressor fits as a symptom of an evaporator suffering from dramatically reduced airflow.
