I figured that is what you were getting at. Sure, Subaru figures the cost of the “free maintenance” and any other promotions into their overall business cost and the price that they sell the cars to the dealerships for, but the price paid for the car can still be negotiated by the consumer just the same rather you live in an area where the 2 yr “free maintenance” package is included or not. It is automatically included with any new Subaru purchase in the Southeast US for example. It isn’t like consumers are stating “you’ll give me this price AND throw in the 2 yr maintenance plan!”, it is included whether you ask for it or not and telling them you don’t want it isn’t lowering the price of the car. If you buy the car and then choose not to use the included 2 yr maintenance plan, you certainly aren’t saving any money.

Moved my 3rd brake light with the goal to get some more visibility out the rear window.

Wired up the new light.

And out with the old brake light on stilts

In the United States and Canada since 1986, in Australia and New Zealand since 1990, and in Europe and other countries applying UN Regulation 48 since 1998, a central stop (brake) lamp mounted higher than the vehicle's left and right stop lamps and called a "centre high mount stop lamp (CHMSL)", is required to be legal.

Installed the trd aero rear trunk cover on my brz to fill up the gap between the rear window and the front portion of the rear trunk. I was hoping if the trd logo is actually a sticker that I can peel off .... oh well, at least it look proper

Just install the one from Intec. I love mine.

I will have to take care of this at some point, I was looking at the CDC light. I am planning on getting my windows tinted, should I install this before the tint or is it ok to do it after?

My windows were already tinted when I bought the car new from the dealer. The tint covered the entire rear window as well as the OEM third brake light. I think having the whole window tinted looks better anyway. It shouldn't really matter as long as your tint isn't crazy dark.

I removed the OEM brake light and installed the Intec high mounted one to clean up my rear shelf and rear visibility. It doesn't look any dimmer than the OEM brake lights' intensity on the tail lamps, especially at night.

Any vibrations with that one? I was concerned since it only had one piece of foam tape.

I was concerned about that too, but it's VERY light and the 3M tape on the top part of the light holds pretty tight. I haven't noticed any vibrations. Also, the sides and bottom have a decent gap from the window, so they don't tap/rattle on it as I thought it would from its design.

It's not what I did, it's more like what I'm having done...
Dropped of the tS at Scott's Automotive Detailing Services in Brighton Ontario. Check him out on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/s.w.mclean65/

Quick wash, followed by a second wash and dry. Then clayed and masked off! This will be receiving Nasiol ZR53 Layered Ceramic Coating.
After a 3 stage polish, the paint really Popped!
I can't wait for it to be finished.

I can see that the paints "popped", enough to push your rear wing another 12inches above the trunk... BTW, how old is the car?

I took delivery on Sept. 6, 2018. However, the car had been in the show room since it arrived in Feb. or Mar. It was probably washed only once and then just had the dust pushed around with some old cloth. It had lots of swirled scratches. I have only ever used a touchless car wash since picking it up. The car has only 4,000 sunny kilometers on it. I always had it in mind to get the paint done. It just took this long to find and then book the car in. Funny thing is, I couldn't find anyone closer than over an hour away that did ceramic coating. Then, as luck would have it, I read on a Facebook community site about where I grew up that Scott had just started this business 15 minutes from my youngest daughters home. Turns out his mother went to school with and knew my older siblings. They lived just around the corner from where I grew up. Small world sometimes.

Check out the scratches and swirl marks.
