Just because she wants to buy you a nice car does not mean you have to let her. Do you think she would be more proud of you if you refused the "nice" car and maybe elected to "settle" for a car that shows you can make responsible choices as if it was money that you earned being spent?

Difficult when you don't know what it's like having to earn your own money yet, and your perceived value of money is so skewed because of the wealth you were born into.

I mean, it's a banana. What could it cost, $10?

HEY! He said he isn't selfish since likes to buy his friends things, pays for meals and gives cash to homeless people.
With his mother's money.

I'll just say it, dude leave the forums. If you want to buy whatever fancy ass car your mommy can afford, go to that forum. Please, just stop replying, and just leave. I'm sure you don't have bad intentions but you're being smug by asking about a $200k car on a forum based on a $25k car.

Again, you came to a $30k car forum to ask about a $200k, do you still not realize how silly that is? You may as well have went to a youtube comments section to ask about this.

Here, let's play a game. Go look up the 0-60 times for any of the 63 AMG cars, then go look at the 0-60 for the new Supra, then define to me what a fast car is.

The 63 AMG cars are under 4 seconds so how is that slow? A supra is a couple seconds faster but that’s doesn’t make the other cars slow

My mum WANTS me to buy a AMG or something expensive because she wants me to drive a nice car. If I wanted something responsible or cheap I’d stay with my BRZ

A couple seconds? That was a trick question. You didn't even try to google. You also assume many things for some odd reason.

Talk first, think later.

that's not all that fair. we don't fully know their financial situation.

i've seen similar situations to where this kid comes from. he literally doesn't know any better. the wording of his posts shows some cluelessness to any other way about it.

hum-time:
a few years ago, i was working in a nissan dealer, and there's the newest model year gt-r on a lift, out of state plates on it, the entire front end gutted down to the framerails, with both the motor and transmission on stands. looking inside, it could have easily been mistaken for a homeless persons barely running civic. the interior 'existed' between fast food wrappers and lumps of clothing.

the story went that it was an exchange students car. he ran through a median, up an embankment, landing on a parking curb. they managed hurt almost everything in the front end.

the repair was something like $60k. the family flew into town, and paid the dealer cash to repair it.

in other countries, a lot of well off families believe that having their college student drive high end cars is important. it's a display of family wealth and power. the results aren't exactly easy to prove or disprove either way, and there's plenty of questions about the ethics, reality, and value in such a method. but it's how a lot of people attempt to give their kids a leg up in the world.

TLDR:. It's like your Mom asking when you are going to marry a nice (insert religion) (insert gender), except with a car.(?)
