Getting more whine with the stock intake. I saw this video on YouTube where this guy added a sound tube from the intake through the firewall to amplify the whine. Car was a mustang but still same concept. Gotta admit I was looking forward to a louder wine. What are ppl thoughts on this and using the old firewall opening where the OEM sound tube was?

3” filter does Supports the plastic pipe as well though. But the metal pipe adds a lot of whine. More prone to heat soak though. |

But neither are recommended unless E85 or WMI to keep Intake temps down. As the metal pipe heat soaks more then plastic and the 3” filter is basically a hot air intake. Did you switch from metal pipe and Perrin big maf to the plastic pipe and 3” filter? |

Hi,
Is anyone here able to tell me if an aftermarket mid-pipe (cat-less or high-flow) will make a difference in terms of gains? (Im currently 210 supercharged with exhaust) My header + over pipe are cat-less and my cat-back is high flow. I kept the mid pipe to stay somewhat quiet but now Im curious to know if replacing the mid-pipe for a high-flow or even straight piping will benefit at all. |
