This will be my first time patronizing their business, but @spike021 got his tires installed there and had a positive experience.

The PS4S is a great street tire, I think you'll really like them since you mostly commute and do canyon runs. I think they have a slightly softer sidewall than the Bridgestones and Hankooks I've had in the past, but they definitely help improve comfort and reduce noise. They are definitely way too soft for track duty, as I unfortunately found out (got a flat at the track, so had to switch to the PS4S or go home). The shoulders were annihilated after one 20 min session... Too bad about Elite, I think they do decent work, but that is one of the main reasons I only buy tires from reputable online retailers. Most shops that stock tires don't get enough product turn over, so what stock they do keep just sit there. |

Been to Auto Innovations twice for alignment, dad went once, Tony_R puts their name on his car/sponsor and is why I checked 'em out in the first place.
Very satisfied with what I've had them do, I'd get tires with them if they were closer to me, but I've got a buddy nearby who does tires. Good alignments at a reasonable price can be hard to find, they nail it, do the alignment while you wait, 30 minutes tops iirc. Edit @BigFatFlip did you roast the MP4S on the 3,500 pound family car or do you still have the BRZ? Last edited by strat61caster; 05-03-2019 at 02:10 PM. |

When I lived in Seattle I had a total beater Jeep Comanche that had ancient tires on it when I bought it. With the torquey 4 liter, rear LSD and no weight over the back end it was an absolute blast the summer I bought it. Then fall came, leaves dropped, it got cold and rainy and I slid backwards while attempting to drive up a hill near my house. Fortunately no one was behind me but that was scary. After completing a sliding backwards u-turn I drove the two blocks home, ordered new tires right away, and parked the truck until I had them. |

I thought about trying to find some empty area where I could do some drifting before I get the new tires put on, but came to the conclusion that doing so would be irresponsible and probably attract unwanted attention.

Orlando (the owner I believe?) even offers to do stuff like re-torque my wheel lugs for free on returning visits and do other minor things without charging me. When I had my tires mounted on wheels and wheels installed, it turned out that the front two were slightly touching the strut perch at first. He invited me into the shop area so I could check that myself with my own eyes and was able to find a couple spare 3mm spacers to fix the issue. That's one of the big things that'll keep me coming back. He wasn't obligated to allow me into the shop and I know other shops are sometimes very restrictive about that, but it wasn't an issue to him at all.

Orlando! He's the guy that we dealt with back then. Happy to hear he's still doing great work and service

Correct, this was on the family hauler. Haven't had the BRZ for a couple of years now but I only have a few payments left on the RS, so I might be back in one in the near future Quote:
There are quite a few spots in Alameda where you can do it without attracting too much attention |

LOL. Bonus point if you know all of the brands and models they're making fun of. Only one I couldn't tell was "Arrow." |
