OEM Calipers No Dust Boot

Is anybody running OEM calipers with no dust boots?

My dust boots don't seem to like the track too much. I am thinking about removing the boots completely but I am a bit worried about corrosion and dirt.

Are there any stainless piston rebuild kits available? Are there any tricks that might make the boots last longer?

A friend of mine (@pat) had this issue due to heavy track use. He hoped to solve it with ducting but it still wasn't enough. He ended up going with a BBK in the end.

edit: I guess I'm not sure how to link someone to a thread...
