Be glad you caught that edit before I chimed in....

AE86 would be the car in my sig.

annndd...

for good measure. Back when my car was much cleaner(it makes me cry, but my paint is SHOT, damn you 80's paint!)....yes, those are factory pizza-cutters on the rear, lol. Huh....that was 6 years ago...time flies.

Picture I took of my Mk3 after I painstakingly hand-polished the sawblades. Fuuuuu, going down memory lane is hard sometimes.
@Dim, never was a fan of the clear turn signals on the Mk3...don't like the look. But very sexy mk3's!! Unfortunately I spent most my money that WOULD'VE been used for modding the mk3, into just getting a running 7M. Seriously, the BHG issue PLAGUED me to no end. Went through 2 engines (one came with a cracked head from the supplier).

I've cooked two myself, before going with a JDM 1JZGTE.

It's reputation is sort of duly earned, yet done properly... Those two cars are both 7M powered and their combined hp is about 1450 all turbo, 1545 when the white one sprays, and 1140 on their street tunes. Most of those numbers come from the white one (same one from the April Import Tuner).

Oh I totally agree, the 7M can be a reliable powerhouse if you do it up properly. Its just not one of those engines you get from the supplier, slap it onto the chassis, and say "Done!" You have to take the necessary precaution steps to make sure it'll be reliable down the road.

Still, the scars are there. That was just MY mk3. My father's MK3 blew its HG as well, replaced it proper like, retorqued after 1000 miles, yadda yadda, still blew the HG again. Got another 7M....cracked head. Its safe to say when I do get myself another MK3, it'll be babied around town until I can afford to put my own 1JZ in there.

Or maybe to REALLY confuse people, I'll slap a 1G in there....wouldn't happen to have your old lying around would ya?

Mine came from Japan swapped already, they used to do it to get the 2.0L insurance rate, apparently more common than you would think. Probably a few RB20 Skylines running around with RB25's or 26's too.

Buuut...

This is local to me. The guy will probably have it for ages, as no-one wants them when 1J's are a dime a dozen.
