Oldest thing I can think of that I have is a Winchester model 1912 shotgun that was manufactured in 1919. It was given to me by my father.

Depends on how you define “use daily”: 1973(?) Marantz 2245 I restored a few years ago

But I also have a 1957 Nivada Antarctic (watch designed for the 1957 Operation Deep Freeze expedition to Antarctica), which unfortunately is in need of repair right now.

Pretty sure I have that exact one stored away in the basement someplace.

that's more likely the binding posts, not the crossovers. a crossover issue should only stop 1 driver from functioning. i just had a newer set of outdoor speakers where the binding post was tight, but the nut inside fastening it down was loose, and was causing it to cut in and out.

i love the wooden sides on those old receivers. i've got a jvc of a similar vintage that i'm also using the garage(though i rarely use it)

The foam that held the cone in place rotted out so I took them apart and had them fixed by a guy in Chicago who knew what he was doing and the old Advents (4) are working again.

this is actually really easy to do yourself. i found a set of realistic nova 18's to attempt it on which went really well, then went and re-foamed my minimus 7's, and hh scott 197b ii's. the most daunting part is cleaning the old foam off.

yes, i have an obsession with speakers...
