NA E85 worth it on pre FI?

Would it be worth it going E85 with delicious tunings flex fuel stage one tune if I plan going FI in the future? I believe it’s $1600.

orrrr get an OTF stage 2 e85 tune on the car for 400 bucks and rock it till you upgrade. the only other way it makes sense if FOR SURE you are going Forced Induct. if you aren't then why spend the 1600-2000 for a full ecu, flex fuel set up and custom tune

I’m 100% going FI, I plan on having a sleeper BRZ. I’m sick of people trashing our cars. And I want to have the fastest street build possible. I’m going with the GReddy Turbo Kit and I can install it myself with some help so it’s not an issue. But in the meantime I do want a bit more power and I plan on running E85 with my FI because the new RaceTrac gas stations they’re opening near me are running E85 pumps and they’re opening a lot around here.

Delicious Tuning and HRI Tuning are the two known e-tuners with ecutek. I got mine from HRI Tuning. $850 for everything except the kit. I bought a used delicious tuning flex fuel kit for $350. I talked to James (the owner) how the process is if I decide to go FI and he said you'll get somewhere like 20% existing customer discount and you'll just pay for the tune itself which is pretty cheap. If you need assurance and reviews, just visit the 86 fb page or search the forums.

Pick up a Tactrix cable for $170 and throw an E85 tune on it. Without a flex sensor you can’t go back and forth but if you have easy access to E85 that shouldn’t be a problem. It is well worth it even in NA form.

You could always sell the cable later.

There a forced induction sub forum. If you posted this question there you would reach a larger audience than here in the "exterior parts member classifieds".

Just saying...

Sorry I’m new to the forum and Tapatalk. I think it posted it in the last sub forum I posted in.

If you're going to be trying to make as much power as possible with your turbo setup, you'll probably be running e85 anyways, so you may as well buy the setup now and enjoy while you save for the boost.

Mods will move it to the right area. I already told them so it should happen any time now.
He is right though you will get far better advice in the right sections. Some of the best guys in a field don't stray to far from their specialty sub forums.

It looks like moto-east also has a flex fuel kit package for a bit cheaper. They may also be willing to work with your tuning needs in terms of an NA tune now and a discounted FI tune later.
