I just found this pretty cool extension/add on for anyone using firefox or chrome. It changes webpages to be dark with white text, how have I not found this earlier. Makes this forum easy on the eyes.

The extension is dark reader, I also suggest flux for anyone on the computer a lot. Take care of your eyes.

I cannot wear rings with my Dupuytren's Contracture. I have the version where I also grow knuckle pads. This was after surgery in 2015 and today; they have already grown back. I was going to try one of those rubber rings, but never got around to getting one.

I use an extension that came on my monitors. It's a module they call brightness, I turn it down and it actually helped a lot. I'm going to get your add-on and see how much better it works though

Since I'm on a computer about 90% of my workday (and sometimes 90% of my waking hours) I have a pair of these:

https://gunnar.com/product/maverick/

I bought them originally for gaming, but have found they are very helpful during the week as well. I don't wear them all the time but when I do I can tell a big difference in eye strain.

Of course, it could be a placebo effect I suppose but whatever works...

No those totally work, I also work on a computer all day at work and I'm wearing them now as I type and have been for years. Those + flux + dark reader helps things on the eyes

I guess this forum is on older vbulletin software that does not have a "dark" theme available. I'll check out that extension for sure.

For mobile I use the Twilight app on my phone and tablet. Though I have noticed that newer android comes with a blue light filter built in, not sure about iOS.

its not my extension just one I happened to hear about today and I set it to work on specific websites I use that have a lot of white background, such as this forum. Check out flux, it works better than just adjusting the brightness because it adds a yellow hue which causes less eye strain.

I should probably get some sort of filter or glasses for work. I'm on the PC 10+ hrs a day.

It's more of a very light gray than yellow to me, but it does change it a bit. the converse is when I take it off I realize just how harsh the screen is. It actually hurts my eyes until I readjust.

Then again, I wear blue blocker sunglasses because I don't like polarized ones, so I'm used to looking at the world through a golden hue.

Some people will just go to any length to not wear a ring!
