The car is much better looking when its lowered.

the stock ride height makes the short wheelbase/long(ish) overhangs stand out too much and look awkward.

I like this picture the best. The wheelbase doesn't look as short once the car is lowered unless you are really staring at it.

So what are those two provisions on the roof is that for a rack?

if its the same car as the ken gushi Instagram pics then it looks like its support for a light bar. the car appears to be a pace car for some kind of motorsports race.

It's too late to complain, but I wish pedestrian crash standards didn't force the hood to be so tall. I photoshopped a lower hood and pushed the rear wheel back a smidge. And added two colors.

Great job! The rear wheel further back looks especially good!

Pedestrian protection standards can be complied with in different ways. Jaguar usea a pop-up hood that uses pyrotechnics to raise up in the event of a crash. BMW could’ve also decided not to mount the intercooler on top of the engine or to lay the engine further down. Or they could use a boxer :P

It just seems like bringing the hood down really wasn't a priority.

I hope this goes beyond the concept and actually comes to pass. It would be nice to see a Toyota branded (even if it actually is a BMW) GT car back in a major racing series.

No, the Supra in NASCAR does not count. There is absolutely nothing about that cat that is Supra except the decal.
