He switched his major to Psychology and now has no idea what he will do afterwards but knows he doesn't want to do police work.

It's sad really because he would have been one of the "good ones".
My brother is almost in this exact same situation.

He went to school, got his Criminal Justice degree, wanted to become an investigator. But of course to become an investigator/detective for most situations you first need to spend time as some kind of LEO, so pretty much either a cop or (if going through sheriff dept.) correctional officer in a prison.

So it's fair to say between that stuff and the obvious things going on these days, I think he's decided against doing that at this point.

Kinda sad that it goes this way but it's up to him (and the rest) in the end.

I'm watching Valerie Van Halen's cooking show. She is making martinis. She said she likes hers shaken, not stirred, which is the stupidest line ever in Hollywood. Duh, that's how you make a martini! It is made using a cocktail shaker ffs. Who on earth stirs a martini?

Then she says she is making a special one with gin because her friend likes her martinis with gin. SMH.

anybody else work with people that need everything ASAP and it's all an emergency but never their fault? Then when you need info from them so that you can help them they never return your emails or get back to you?

word of advice. avoid construction companies and their employees at all costs.

Apparently anybody that is a Martini snob does!

"In 1962 Dr. No served James Bond a martini with the line “A medium dry martini, lemon peel. Shaken, not stirred.” Collectively our minds absorbed the information immediately, and spread it like wildfire, “shaken not stirred” became drink dogma the world over.Flash forward more than 50 years and it’s still the most well known recipe for any cocktail (probably ever), children know it, tee-totaling church wives know it, everyone knows it… and most bartenders HATE it. If you read my piece on stirred cocktails you’ll know that there’s no need for shaking a drink that’s comprised of easily soluble ingredients, and shaking will do a disservice to the mouthfeel of such a drink. There’s also the fact that a 2015 MIT study that shows you’re losing about one-third of flavour and aroma from such agitation. Listen, I get it: James Bond’s a rad guy, he knows women, and suits, and guns, and cars, but he knows little if anything about how to drink. I’m not one to tell you to stop drinking something the way you like it, but I will tell you to choose better imbibing idols."

Personally I don't care if you shake or stir it the end result still tastes like paint stripper.

Yes, they are called physicians where I currently work.
They were called pilots at my job before it was physicians

and its pretty much called Sr. management regardless of the field.

It's sad really because what this is doing is causing the police force to become even more exactly like what everyone wants to claim it is when it's really only a single percentage of the entire force. A self fulfilling prophecy, sort of like automatic transmission sales....

Oh not questioning it for one second. I even got to drive one briefly a couple of years ago.
Just brand recognition does not tie the two things together.

It is cool, I just never thought a modern Cadillac would come with a MT.

The 2 seat wedge shaped Caddies a few years back, that everyone said was basically a vet in Caddie clothing, I heard only came AT? Is that true?

I sometimes wonder if I am the only person here that is not in IT.
From the other side of the fence many of the urgent requests I get are actually FROM IT and nothing is EVER their fault!

Isn't that the point so you can get that lighter fluid down?
