TIS?

So will the toyota TIS system work on these cars if we have a J2534 compatible adapter like the mongoose?

Will this device allow us to set the dealer option crap? That's my biggest concern.

Are their cheaper alternatives?

The most advanced I've gone is a simple scan tool so this is new ground to me.

techstream lite works just like the original techstream, I have one.
however you will need the manufacturers software as well as the mongoose cable in order to change the customization options and to have access to all the data.

Too expensive for my use, bummer. Do you think the dealer will charge me to get some of the options changed? Dodge never did, not sure if Subaru is as nice.

there should be no charge to change anything on customization list.
