First you need to define the word, "problem".
Because you've already got a problem. It's called knock. Until you post a log of you not getting it, you're getting it. It's been proven.

A Problem would be when car breaks down because of valve damage or something similar. Won’t run right.

I’m at 94k miles. So far so good.

Actually, if OP isn't trolling, it's a testament to the robustness of the engine and control system.

I'll still pile on out of principle but...

The control system can deal with knock up to a point but it will take just one event that it doesn't catch in time and bye bye.
Besides the ECU will never ever help if his lack of oil checks catches him. Hell, even I check my freakin' oil on a regular basis.

You mean to tell me that our cars don't have a "check engine oil" light and gong -

They do but it is more of a "you just spun a bearing" light than a "you are low on oil and need to add some light".
Once it comes on it is probably already to late.

I guess I have been lucky because I have owned and maintained my own cars for over 30 years and have never had any problems with oil. If my car is that undependable that I have to check it before every time I start up the car, I would get rid of it.

Oh, Silverz, don't let those "excessive oil checkers" get you down.

Some of them are just stuck in the old days where cars would burn/leak up/out a quart of oil every 1,000 miles.

Most of them don't realize that every time they check the oil, a bit of oil is used (by wiping it off the dipstick).

Speaking of the dipstick, every time you jam it down around that curve, it wears on that "O" ring.

THEN they have the aggravation of which side of the dipstick to read.

Besides, I suspect many of them have a bright colored pulley or some other bling thing under the hood that they just want to look at, so they use checking the oil as an excuse to open the hood.

OR, some have put on hood struts and they just want to check to make sure they are still working.

They are only harmonically balanced if they are red. Known fact but keeps get deleted from the forum.

And how else will I know when my hood struts wear out?

Good point! You just don't want to be stranded out on a cold, dark, lonely road, with car trouble and you have to use a stick to hold up the hood because the hood struts ran out of gas -

I took the stick out. This is a major concern. My head isn't hard enough to support the hood
