i am using Braille 21 this winter. Saves 15-20 pounds with 550 CCA, not failed to start yet even at current extreme cold temps

Shit, that reminds me, I lost that red cover on the positive terminal. I figure I didn't push it down enough when I had to put the charger on a couple weeks ago when I left my trunk popped. Anyone got an extra?

I parked my car for several weeks during rainy weather last fall because I needed to finish installing my shocks. When I finished, the battery was completely dead. I thought I'd ruined it. I'm sure it lowered my battery's life span, but I believe the only time letting your batter go dead actually ruins it is if it is below freezing.

That's why I bought a new battery (and am returning it today). I just assumed the battery had gone dead and the temperature was in single digits.

BTW, 157k miles is impressive. I thought I was the only high mileage guy out there. Has it been pretty reliable?
There's a small handful of people in the 150k+ club that I have seen. I would be higher but I got a 2nd car about 3 years ago to help split the mileage a bit.

No major issues (besides the valve spring recall I have to get done). I have done a ton of mountain drives, a dozen autox in it's early life, and I started tracking at 120k miles. Done 8 HPDE so far with no issues, especially now that I'm on E85 I don't even get knock correction. Though when I went to a dyno day recently and wanted to throw my car on for the science of it they refused for fear it would kill it

If I had kept up the same schedule I had for the first two years of the car I would be over 200K by now. As it is I am only at 130. I am at least a year behind you guys though.

I add distilled water at about 100 ml/yr. Still cranks like new.

By the time the acid is weak enough to freeze, the plates are fully sulfated.
