Saw a few Edelbrock supercharged BRZ/FRS at the car show on 9th ave last weekend. Some of you in the Calgary area or just drive in for the show?

this gives me a reason to wash the car and do something social. i vote for "twins" meet at a pub parking lot so after we are done freezing to death checking out people's builds we can go in for a pint.

anyone in?

Wow you read my mind. I'm totally in.

My car's a bit incapacitated at the moment since I grenaded third gear but my new transmission should be coming in soon!

how did you acheive this? i punish my transmission with WOT on boost (looking to up this with an SCG-1 boost controller this summer) to the point of starting to feel some clutch slip but have never encountered any issues with transmission.

although i did replace tranny and diff oils with the motul stuff recently before i put my main paperweight on my 4 post lift. Had to get a good use out of it before it becomes a project car holder for the next half decade.

Hard launches at 400 + whp will about do the trick. I had motul in the trans as well. Its not uncommon to break 3rd or 4th when running at least 400 from what I have seen.

Owell! Straight cuts should be here soon to save the day.

How much are you hitting at wheels?

Lifts do make pretty good paperweight holders

lol, gonna start flooding this forum pretty soon with what this little frs/brz pub meetup would accomplish with general build talk.

but yeah my last virtual dyno calc with my flash tablet data showed a 305 hp at the wheel with 238 torque. I also never do launches just aggressive clutch release from stop at idle, WOT to redline with soft rev limiter, slam into next gear.

so with less hp/torque than your build and no launches that's probably why i still have a transmission. lol

what's this straight cuts?

should probably discuss this and more over...

ok while i'm on the thread, i gotta dig up a previous part of this thread and vent.

i was having lunch in the NE near our old office at beckham's pub and a guy with his mod'ed brz (build looked decent with exhaust and a few other things i couldn't tell) but he pulled up to shell for fuel. PLEASE STOP PEOPLE FROM DOING THIS.

i was just outside my co-worker's lunch pick for a cigar and felt like it would be a pretty **** thing to do to convince a guy to go with better fuel for whatever setup they are running but after logging all of this myself with my flash tablet before i did my exhaust, after exhaust change, and then after a turbo the logs speak for themselves. Everyone should be running 94 with the twins whether it be husky 94 with the ethanol or petro 94 (seeing better mileage with petro 94). anything 91 is just pulling timing and bringing IAM down which is making you lose hp/torque and generating unnecessary heat.

Help a brutha out and spread the word. 94 for life.

this post is not meant to be a hate on or a bash fest, but to let others truly get the most out of their FA20. hopefully everyone can see my intent.

Wow that's some big metal compared to factory shafts and gears. What's that cost? When you putting that in and how long you think it will take? That looks like you could launch all day long at 400rwhp. Probably even more with e85 all day long.

Can't wait to get this in so I can start breaking other parts

What are your 2019 plans with your ride?
