I have 20mm bolts-on on my front with no shaving needed. Maybe they put a deeper groove in the 17+ wheels??? When I switch to my spacers/stock wheel setup for the winter I always throw on some blue locktite and double check the torque on the bolts after a few hundred miles. The rears are easy to torque down because of the parking brake. The fronts I use an old style tire iron and wedge against the ground so I can torque down the front spacers without them moving.

True. I didn't mention that; If the wheels have "pockets" that the studs can fit into, then shaving the studs may not be necessary. Good call on the locktite! Thanks! ![]() EDIT: You are correct! I bet those pockets are at least 5mm deep. (if not more) So, a 20mm bolt on for the front and a 25mm for the rear is what I would suggest. via Imgflip Meme Generator

OP, come back after and warn others in here if you die. Thanks.
I've been running different spacers for about 3.5 years now on mine so I don't want to have to be the one to tell everybody I died. |
