Hi, Don.

Will this kit work for FR-S?

Which one will have better cooling due to the design of front bumper, FR-S or BRZ?

Thank you.

The kit will work either way. Don't know which will have better cooling. My guess leans towards frs for obvious reasons

Is there really no other location for the filter though?

Also, will any fuel injector or fuel pump upgrades be required?

Lastly,

Specs on the wheels?

DOING GREAT WORK DON! KEEP IT UP!

My guess is 248whp
Yo don. Never really got any answers for these questions.

Turbo's don't like back pressure. Stock exhaust would be choking it.

Hi Don, what's the advantage of running an external gate on this turbo, boost control?

Can't wait till this thing is running, I really want to see what the stock gearbox can take.

External gates have better control and work better for electronic boost controllers.

Keeping a factory exhaust with a divorced exhaust/wg setup will help with exhaust backpressure on a low-boost setup.

Of course, you are going to get the best turbo response, and power, from a nice big exhaust.

The 5s and 3sgte were strong engines, their new engines are weak.

A great, chain-drive 86x86 inline 4 would be sweet. But in the company of SR20, 4B11, and K20... it's got tough competition

The 2az will handle 350-400whp on stock internals as well. Which would be plenty for this platform. I wouldn't mind have seeing that used either.

We are attempting with no fuel upgrades to see what happens first. The filter can go towards the battery area if a relocation was in order.

The external is used for room requirements and much better boost control. The GT28's internal gates don't like low boost, and I didn't want to overshoot 5 in case it needed to be that low.

Wheels are Emotion CR

Staggered 8.5 front / 9.5 Rear
I have 225/40s in the front and 255/35s in the Rear. Both are Nitto 555. I chose these tires so that I could easily be matched into a drag radial for the rear if things get crazy. I suspect i'll have this sucker north of 400hp by the end of the summer

I like the 2azfe but it is also built for low-end grunt. Sports cars need revs to feel alive imho. A high revving 4 cylinder, even without torque, is more fun to drive than an anemic 2.4l with a 6200rpm rev limit. But it would have been great to see it in the FRS to be honest. Even though it goes against all I believe lol.
