That's what happens when you try to put a 20 foot long car in a 19 foot long garage …

Been over 15 years since I've experienced loss in the family. Found out today one of my brothers passed away. It's hard trying to make sense of everything at the moment.
My thoughts and prayers with you and your family at this difficult time.

Reminds me of the "system" I had for the ex-mrs humfrz's car, back in CT. Yep, suspended a fishing bobber from a string that dangled down from a garage rafter. So, I told her to pull the car in till the bobber touched the windshield and go no further.

What could go wrong with that system? Along comes my youngest son, who just couldn't resist swatting at the bobber till the string wrapped around the rafter a time or two. Yep, when mrs humfrz pulled into the garage, you guessed it ….

Brings to mind another story. Back in the mid 2,000s, I bought this 1979 Lincoln Mark V from my brother (why, I don't know). I got in home and discovered it wouldn't quite fit in my garage (which had a one foot bump out for the hot water heater at the end of the garage).

So, I caved in two places in the sheet rock for the pumper guards to fit into. Then I drew a target on the wall and lined up the hood ornament (my front sight) when I would pull the car in.

Yep, drove that car for 3 years before I bought my 2006 NC Maita. Talk about a "conversion shock in driving" between those two cars -

Every car has a mission. My Mark IV is my living room on wheels for slow cruising. The BRZ is my light attack fighter, not super fast but agile AF. Then there is my upcoming winter beater...

Eventually it'll be a 2005 Subaru Impreza wagon with a Version 8 (04 JDM STi) swap. It's missing a few things still. It runs but there is no radiator so we can't even idle it for long. We still have to figure out the front mount intercooler... (Can't use a top mount without a hood scoop and that would take away it's sleeper status)

Nah it's a blob eye. Wish it was a bug eye like my sedan was but the body is in good shape only 44k or something.
