Evening All,

CSG has sent me a new catback and I can indeed report that the new unit looks good and fits perfectly. It looks like there may have been a manufacturing error, as the new unit measures 7" from the muffler body to the outside of the exhaust piping on both the left and right side of the exhaust. The old exhaust (the one with the problem) measured 7" on one side (from muffler body to outside of exhaust piping), but only 6" on the other side, which explains the fitment issue I described in an earlier post.

Happy to report that CSG was able to fix me up in this instance -- Took a while, but they made it right.

I've had the problem exhaust off of the car for a while waiting for the new shipment, and in that time I've decided to go a different direction all together with the car for a few reasons -- I'll be placing the new exhaust up for sale on the forum. Definitely a quality product -- I'll still recommend it for those who are looking for a mature exhaust note with good flow!

So why isn't this available in 304 stainless? That's the only thing holding me up.

MXP has access to 304 stainless, they also have the dimensions for this muffler. Soooooooooo, why couldn't a limited run be made in 304? I understand that it would cost more, and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one interested.

Came down to this and Perrin 2.5” resonated, went with the Perrin during Black Friday sale. CSG Touring had to be preorder at the time.

I just bought a Perrin 2.5" resonated catback. For $839 shipped. If they ever make this in 304 stainless, I'd probably buy it.

Perrin is louder than the CSG. The CSG Touring86 and ACE Laguna90 are exhausts you can have good confidence going to a Laguna Seca 90dB day and come out unscathe with a supercharged catless setup.

Just a FYI for you California folks. The CSG Touring86 will be one of two exhausts that likely won't get you a modified exhaust ticket anymore.

Is the other aftermarket too?

How is the volume for the CSG Touring86 when supercharged?

The other would be the Ace Laguna 90, so yes, aftermarket.

Catless supercharged with ethanol still passes Laguna's sound limit, even on the strictest days.

Thanks Mike. I was asking about FI Touring86 and the Cali noise law.

It has been reported by many of our clients that the exhaust blows well below the 90dB track threshold, which is way below the 95dB limit that CA laws impose.
