kenwood DDX917WS Spotify Connection

Hi Everyone, was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on my issue. Picked up a 917WS recently, everything is great minus the fact that i cant get the spotify app to connect to my phone. Ive tried everything i can think of, phone has been connected via bluetooth, wifi, and cable with no success. I have no issue using car-play through bluetooth to play spotify or pandora, but it would be nice to have full control through the spotify app instead of just next/play/pause. Using a Samsung S9+ and the firmware on the headunit has been updated to the latest release from Kenwood. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Other than this issue, the headunit is great, i had previously replaced all of the speakers with infinity reference/kappa components, replaced the OE amp with the alpine amplifier and added an 8" L7 to the trunk to fill the low end. The HU really brings everything to life compared to OE

-Thanks

Same for me, it doesn't work with bluetooth connection; I mean, audio streams, but I get the "no connection" error.

Yea, if i cant get it working ill probably just re-sell it, radio reception has degraded as well, granted I'm in the country, the OE unit had better reception
