The flu bug was a non-issue, as the Eagles were just good enough to play through. They were a lot better than the Pats last night in all phases of the game. Congrats on the Eagles winning the NFL Arena Bowl Championship!

Actually, there was more D played in the ArenaBowl last year....

So how bout the XFL!?

Simplify the rules.
Re-design helmet
No spiking on a down
No player can make over X amount of money.

A much cooler theme song.

Once the Pats fixed that D in the middle of the season, they became the best team in the NFL period.

Some cool stuff, but I am not behind the politics of it.

VM said that examining a players character was the most important part.

Then he was eyeing johnny football.

Fuck that. That's a huge steaming pile of (typical) nonsense from those likes.

as a recent transplant to Pittsburgh, I'm not supposed to voice positive opinions of Philly sports teams, I think.

it's in the rules of being a Pittsburgher.

But I am right happy for Nick Foles and, my fellow alum, Fletcher Cox.
Also America, because this Pats thing was getting out of hand.

The D was so terrible on both sides, the game was painful to watch. When the Pats took the lead in the 4th I said "I hope they win this, but this is just too ugly to enjoy"...then it got uglier.

Is this thread still alive? I would love to talk about the upcoming playoffs. I am a Pats fan and I'm scared as hell of us playing in Conference championship at Arrowhead. I am also scared of Baltimore and us potentially playing them. According to an article that I saw at https://www.wsj.com/ we have like 40 percent chance of winning it all.

I thought ESPN had us at like 12%...either way, Baltimore is no longer a threat, I was concerned with that as well given the trouble they have given the Pats over the years.

I am super interested in seeing how they come out playing in the playoffs. They usually use the first 4 weeks of the season as an extended pre-season to work out kinks and focus on situational play. But this year, outside of the Chiefs game and the last game of the season against the Jets, it seemed like they were in that mode all season.

Playing the Chiefs at arrowhead is definitely not optimal, but I think the Colts have a good shot at taking the Chiefs down. First step is beating the Chargers, it is going to be pretty chilly with a chance of snow. I just hope they can end the season of another LA team, hoping even more that the Chargers complain about how cold it is just like the Dodgers did.
