Drove the twin to work and back. Pretty uneventful. Did not crash.

Backed my FR-S out of the garage today. Did NOT hit the big pine tree, nor the neighbors trash can, nor the car parked across the street, nor the UPS truck coming down the street -

Technically not today...but, Took the wife to dinner last night...first time in seven days the FR-S was even fired up...snow has kept it on the sidelines...
The road work on our exit had a very confusing new traffic pattern...still... Did not crash. |

Drove my FRS today. Apparently someone in front of me hit a deer which ended up in the middle of the interstate. Chaos ensued, and before I knew it I was driving through a cloud of skin and fur. Did not crash.

Took my FRS out for a spin to get a watch serviced yesterday.
Despite the questionable maneuvers that many San Francisco drivers pulled, I did not crash. |

Daughter came home from Hong Kong for Christmas...took her on her first ride in the FR-S down to my favorite decreasing radius 25mph exit-on ramp...feathered the gas peddle to reach the edge...while the rear was a bit loose...still...
Did not crash. |

I did NOT drive my FR-S today, therefore, I did NOT crash.
Yep, it's been a week since I fired her up, because of my back surgery. Oh, my, what about the car's valve springs - ![]() Will they be OK, by not being used for a week - OR, will they stiffen up and crystalize and implode when I do start it up - leaving a valve behind to get smashed by a piston? Also, maybe I should go out and hook up a battery charger to keep the battery topped off? I've heard bad things about what happened to these engines after the battery goes dead - ![]() Recommendations?? If you do respond, type s-l-o-w-l-y and in LARGE type, I'm under the influence of many pain drugs - humfrz |

Take care with the back and do what the MD says.
Still hobbling. Knee is much better, but now my foot is sore from walking on it after all that bench time It thought it was an un-needed appendage.

Drove the twin today. Battery seems ok now. Don't leave the trunk open overnight. I think I will still replace battery soon. I can't believe it will be 4 years already January since I bought the car. Almost 21k miles. At this rate I figure it will take me 16 more years to hit 100k, but I plan to do more road trips when I retire, so never know. Valve springs worked perfectly. Sun is out. Boss is out. All in all, not a bad day.
Did not crash. |
