JDL Headers in Canada

I'm currently seriously considering picking up the new JDL 4-2-1 equal length header for my BRZ and installing them in the spring when the car is out of storage. However, from JDL's website directly, it will be expensive to bring them into Canada after FedEx shipping, duties, etc.

I know ft86motorsports carrys JDL products (although they don't have the 4-2-1 header currently on the site), however I will not order from ft86motorsports ever again for the horrible customer service I've experienced: I'm out 160 bucks on a front lip that was sent to me without a box for some reason, and was warped and did not fit my car at all. They do not believe that it does not fit even though I have sent them detailed pictures. They have contacted Ikon and were investigating the issue allegedly, but I haven't heard back in a month...

So, I was looking for a local alternative who is reputable that I can pick up parts from moving forward, and that would include the JDL header.

Thanks!

Also check out Tdotperformance. I just ordered a Corsa catback through them. They are also well reviewed.

No duty and free shipping.

Consider using https://www.crossborderpickups.ca/ You can pick up the package from either Mississauga or Markham. They charge a flat fee for the weight of the package. A header would be around $20 for their service.

If there is no value included in the shipment they'll email you and ask you for the value to declare the package yourself for customs and taxes.

This looks like a really cool service! Any insight into using it? I’m going to do some research, thanks!

All you do is sign up and then they'll give you a US address for you to ship goods to.

Once your package arrives at their pickup location in Niagara Falls, they'll send you an email to confirm your package contents and the price for duties and taxes. They'll then ship the items to the Canadian pick up location in either Markham or Mississauga. You pay their fees, duties, and taxes when you pick up the package.

Using this service, you'll most likely save on shipping fees.

Just out of curiosity, did you get a quote from JDL? Do they only ship via fedex? Would they be able to do USPS instead? Fedex would charge more fees but value can be.... altered on the invoice and attract less duty at the border, if any. Speaking from experience

I actually ended up picking up the headers through Alpha Motorsports, as they carry JDL.

Feel free to reach out to them for a quote, they were awesome to deal with!

They had them in stock?? When I first got the 86, I messaged Alpha but back then they said they didn't deal with JDL. Interesting

I ordered the JDL overpipe/front pipe combo from JDL during the Black Friday sale. They ship with FedEx, I paid about $175 in duty and the exchange at the time I think came to around $950. So total it was around $1150
