In the meantime I just wanted to mention a few easy parts everyone should have on their car, because if you haven't installed the Whiteline rear subframe inserts or rear diff inserts...what are you even doing?

I've gone through a few things on this car but while I wait for my production SS1s to come in, the car is on:
stock springs + shocks
BRAID 17x8 +40 wheels
Michelin PS4S 225/45/17
Whiteline rear diff inserts
Whiteline rear subframe inserts
Perrin steering rack lockdown

It's just so good. Other than the wheels/tires, it's just a couple small and inexpensive mods but it completely changes the character of the car. Minimal performance increase, but a massive change in feel, confidence, and fun.

Okay, there's a little more gear noise which is cool at low speeds but can be annoying on the highway on certain surfaces. And if you death grip the steering wheel you'll start feeling your hands get tired on a long drive from the steering lock down (but don't death grip the wheel and maybe get a suede steering wheel). Also get a set of OEM camber bolts and the cusco gas pedal.

Anyway, I can't wait for my set of SS1s to come in so the performance of the car is stepped up a couple notches too.

See y'all in a few weeks.

Awesome. How hard is the install on the lockdown kit? What is the net effect?

Pretty easy install after you remove the undertray. Couple of minutes. Result is essentially zero play in the steering now. Stock steering feel is very good IMO, but this is just a little more direct and gives you a little more feedback.

There's an almost imperceptible amount of additional hand fatigue. IMO the factory 2013-2016 steering wheel is garbage and that's part of it. I have a suede wheel waiting to go on.

Downtown Baltimore is a great test bed for suspension....historic cobblestone streets, perpetual construction, crimes, and more!

When I get home from Scotland I have a few things to put on:
RCE SS1 coilovers (6 kg/mm spring rates)
Cusco rear LCAs
FT86SF suede steering wheel
MTEC shifter springs
a few interior parts

I already have solid rack bushings, would these make any difference in addition to those?

I don't think you would notice any difference. More of an either/or situation for the lockdown vs steering rack bushings but the lockdown is an easier install.

Great to hear. I may have to pick up a set myself. I'm going for the Sweidit wheel for my 2017 anyway, so hopefully that helps a bit.

I just got back from nearly two weeks in Scotland (Glasgow and Edinburgh). I honestly think it's my favorite country that I've visited!

Finally got my RCE SS1 coilovers on and aligned, as well as a few other bits.

I don't have any pictures of how it sits now, but it looks great. I'm kinda sick and it's raining so just hang on.

Alignment
Camber front: -2.2
Camber rear: -1.8
Toe front: 0
Toe rear: 0.14 in (total)

Perfect for 225 Michelin PS4S tires on my 17x8 BRAID wheels.

These went on with Cusco LCAs to make alignment easy and stay true.

Really happy with these coilovers! Great ride even on the bombed out downtown Baltimore streets.

I do plan to do a nice write up soon as well as get some measurements to help everyone set up their own sets.

MTEC shifter springs are awesome too. Also had an alcantara wheel put on and it's really nice.

Medicine induced rambling now. More later.

As my car sits now, from a little trip to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. A few more interior parts just arrived too so that's nice.

I will post up the ride height measurements for this drop and my recommended damper settings tomorrow. Maybe putting winter tires on then.

So impressed by these coilovers....easily daily driveable and excellent handling. You can feel how well matched the valving is to the spring rates. Nice and quiet, too.

Running those camber numbers, any expected tire wear issues for those of us that commute during the week and joy ride on the weekends?
