Those HP numbers seem low? PTUNING gets 200+wph they state 215whp on their website. The prtuning one is out of stock so I'd have to wait ... but even so why the infatuation on this JDL? Am I missing something? 186hp seems staggering low? Maybe I'm blind.

Simple. Every dyno reads differently. ALWAYS at very least convert absolute gains numbers to relative % against baseline of unmodified car power on that dyno, if you want to do any rough comparison between numbers measured on different dynos. What might be 120 hp on one dyno, can be 220 on another. Having at least somewhat known approximate baseline of stock car dynoed on both dynos still is far from reliable means, as numbers may differ due other variables (eg. ambient temperatures/air pressure in different days and such, or cars may have different gearing from different wheels/FD, or dyno operators can also manipulate readings), but may at least approximately land in ballpark.

Jesse at JDL just does excellent work and has great customer service. He builds very quality pieces, they are made to work well with ceramic coating, have a lifetime warranty, and have proven performance gains.

Nothing to knock PTuning, there header is gorgeous and has proven performance gains time and again, and they are a great shop to work with (the shop I use actually). But their header is VERY loud (for me), and they only offer an uncatted EL Race Header (no UEL, 4-2-1, or catted options), so it very much limits options; therefore, making it only appealing to a segment of the market rather than the entire market. Additionally, PTuning doesn't recommend ceramic coating their header due to their slip joints, so it is a bit harder to keep temps down with their header.

With all that said, if I wasn't using a JDL catted UEL, I'd be going for their new 4-2-1 or PTuning's header.

I took advantage of JDL's Black Friday sale. Jesse was super helpful with info and recommendations and hooked me up with a great deal on the new 4-2-1 EL header, overpipe, resonated front pipe, and Delicious Tuning package. Mine is in storage for the winter, but can't wait for the install and tuning next Spring!

Laid back cruise up my favorite local mountain. Mostly part throttle and keeping it under 5500. I did one for pull towards the end.

No kidding, I've had the car for 3 years and haven't done any power mods before, only suspension mods per the autox rules. I'm competing with NASA next, so time to make some changes!

Awesome, thanks! I was actually just watching your other video and was curious if you had any other clips. Right now I'm running the stock catback with nameless muffled track pipe, but I'm thinking that the new JDL setup is going to be pretty obnoxious with my existing catback setup.

This is ISR 2.5" overpipe, Megan rwcing resonated 2.5" front pipe and o.g. dezod 2.5" catback. It's pretty rowdy and louder than I prefer but I'm getting old and looking for a ls430 as a daily.

So, I caved as well and picked up a set through Alpha Motorsports, with the cerakote Titanium finish.

I will have them on the car and dyno tuned with OnPoint in the spring once my car comes out of storage! Beyond excited.

I have no idea. I got it on eBay earlier this year for an insane deal. That's the only reason I'm running it. Overpipe has nearly zero to do with sound tho

I just want to remove any restrictions and get a full 2.5 full through exhaust.
