For idle? 700 is pretty normal. Almost seems like it's gonna die it's so low. But normal

Yeah mine died while stock because it was below 500 i believe. This was back in 2012 before toyota fixed it i believe. Thanks

But I still heard rattling in the door, which went away when I would push hard on the plastic panel right above the faux-leather armrest. My current shim situation is one dime first, quarter slid in behind dime, then second dime slid in behind quarter. A different combination of coins (or shims of other materials) would probably work just as well, but that's what I had in my car at the time and it works lol.

I'll try to remember to add a picture to this post later as well.

Check out your local auto wreckers and see if you can find a set of the 14+ padded speaker panels. The bit of padding they have seems to go a long way to reducing the rattles from the speakers.

They keep the shocks clean. (cleaner anyway) When it rains; the roads get covered with dirt/grime.


And yeah, when it snows, they act like a sweater to keep the oil in my shocks warmer. You should think about getting some....

I put a set of Blizzaks on my car today. Road noise is quieter and bumps feel a bit softer now, but that's probably less about the tires themselves and more about the fact that the shitty all seasons that were on there before were down to the wear bars. Either way, driving experience significantly improved lol.

They sound silly. No way I am putting anything that says "rock star" on any of my cars.

They look like they would make good gaters for snow skiing.
