The old one looks like the activated carbon filter I use in preference to the standard cabin filter

I was curious if it was indeed a carbon filter, but the part numbers don't lie.
12 hours of 50 ft visibility smoke will do that I guess...

When posts get deleted they don't go away they just become invisible to us. This means there are hundreds or even thousands of deleted posts still taking up space on the pages. Of course that throws the page numbers off on the ones that we can see.

I finally replaced the old cheap Showa OEM dampers with the 2017 PP Sachs suspension. I kept the original rear springs though which are a tad firmer than the 2017s because I don’t have a stiffer rear bar to use. After driving around a bit so the springs can settle, (I bought them for $300 basically new) the front is measuring at 10mm higher than before. Normally I wouldn’t be thrilled about this, but now the front rides equal to the rear at 67cm. Besides helping the F/R weight balance, having some extra bump travel up front cant hurt the front MacPherson. Car definitely rides just a touch better day to day, but have yet to thrash it in corners or over big bumps. We shall see how I feel in a few months.

Today... Today I said goodbye to my baby. It has been a fun 2.5 years with her, she was my starter into the whole car thing, and I'm sure I'll miss being that low to the ground, being able to take such clean corners... But life is a bitch.

My girlfriend has been the one who's had my children's car seat in her car, and I realized it wasn't fair. It wasn't fair that I put it all on her only because I didn't wanna deal with them going in and out of a coupe, and I finally understood that.

Problem is, I tend to make stupid decisions when pooping. And I did. And now I have an STI. The 2018, automotive version, and not the infection.

It was fun, but I have no regrets.

Hey - you could have ended up in a Forester! It’s a great car, and you’ll still be able to take those corners, and even hit up AutoX! Just make sure to take that car seat out first!!

Enjoy it man! My wife has a 19 WRX, and even that is a hell of a car. I enjoy it every item I sneak some time behind the wheel!

Congrats! I've loved our first STi for over 12 years and it's still going strong. The wife loved it so much she's on her second STi.
Check out our driveway with her's, mine and ours.
