Ethanol has an effective octane of 160 in direct injection engine, it's why this car does so well with ETH and a tune. Has there been a documented correlation between crickets and any sort of mechanical failure? Or is it more of a nuisance?

to each their own.

No failure. Just nuisance. Even then it's not 100%. Some people use ethanol with no crickets, some don't and have crickets. Seems to be a pattern though

OK... Believe what you want. I run non ethanol - end of story. Additionally, this is a picture thread. There are tons of threads about gas with (and without) ethanol.

But you're right, off topic. Sorry.

I sold this car in May this year.. went through four different cars since. And now I've bought it back. And it's here to stay (thankfully, it looks exactly as it did when I sold it!)

I'm hoping if all goes well and I have some time on my hands to finally change up the whole color of the car this week.
